Sex Toys Must Be Out of Sight at Chicago Ridge Mall
"I don't think this is funny. ... It's in your face," said one shopper who asked the village to restrict the display of adult items.

Christmas shoppers at Chicago Ridge Mall will no longer be slapped in the face with sex toys, figuratively speaking.
Adult toys and videos must be displayed in a restricted space behind doors or walls, according to an amendment to Chicago Ridge’s village code approved by trustees last week. The new restriction will apply to the Spencer’s store in the mall.
About three weeks ago, several residents told the village that Spencer’s had a large display of sex toys on a wall in the store, reports The Reporter newspaper.

“I was appalled,” Chicago Ridge resident Elaine Pecenka said, claiming a store employee told her girls as young as 12 years of age sometimes buy the sex toys. “I don’t think this is funny. It’s there. It’s in your face.”
