Sunday Showcase At EPCHS Will Include 12 Hoops Teams From Across State

Area teams participating in the Feb. 5 EPCHS Sunday Showcase include Brother Rice, Mount Carmel, Oak Lawn and Homewood-Flossmoor.

EVERGREEN PARK, IL - The annual EPCHS Sunday Showcase returns to Evergreen Park this weekend with six match-ups between public and private high school boys basketball squads.

Match-ups for the Sunday, Feb. 5 showcase include Lake Forest Academy vs. Payson-Seymour, Francis W. Parker vs. Homewood-Flossmoor, De La Salle vs. Oak Lawn, Leo vs. Evergreen Park, Brother Rice vs. Lemont and Mount Carmel vs. Kankakee. Scroll below the article to see the full schedule.

Key players to watch include Lake Forest Academy's Rashad Smith, Homewood-Flossmoor's Carson Brownfield, Francis W. Parker's Payton Pitts, Rokas Castillo and Matas Castillo of Lemont, Richard Lindsey of De La Salle, Larenz Walters of Kankakee, Angelo Ciaravino, Anthony Ciaravino and Deandre Craig of Mount Carmel, Ayham Salah and Robert Wagner of Oak Lawn, Ahmad Henderson of Brother Rice and Nolan Sexton, Isaiah Mosley and Lonnie Mosley of Evergreen Park.

The Sunday Showcase is primarily organized by EPCHS Assistant Athletic Director Pat Flannigan.

"I started because for years as a head coach I had traveled around this state and others playing in shootouts and my players always loved the experience so I decided to host one," Flannigan said.

The all-day hoops event is open to the public, with tickets going for $10 for adults and $5 for students with identification.
