Teams Forming For Capuano 4 On 4 Hockey Tournament At Yukich Fields
Teams are forming now for the Daniel V Capuano hockey tournament March 1 and March 2 at Yukich Fields in Evergreen Park. Must be 21 to play.
EVERGREEN PARK, IL — Attention all hockey rats! The fourth annual Capuano Classic 4-on-4 hockey tournament is now signing up teams to compete in the two-day outdoor hockey tournament March 1 and March 2 in Evergreen Park. The hockey tournament gets underway at the Daniel V. Capuano Ice Rink in Yukich Fields, 89th Street and Kedzie Avenue.
This is an age 21+ tournament. Teams can dress a maximum roster of 12 players plus a goalie for each game. All teams are guaranteed to play at least three games.
There are two divisions this year: the Main Event 21+ and 40+/Co-Ed. The cost to put a 12-player team plus goalies on the ice is $500. A portion of proceeds from entry fees will be split 50-50 between the Evergreen Park Recreation Department and the Ende, Menzer, Walsh & Quinn CFD Retirees, Widows and Orphans Fund.

The 40+/Co-Ed Division championship game is scheduled for 5:20 p.m., with the A Division Championship game set for 6:15 p.m, both on Sunday, March 2. For the 40+/Co-Ed game, women and goalies need only be 21 or older.

Spectators are invited to watch some competitive hockey. Food and beverage vendors will be in attendance. Split-the-pot and stick raffles, along with chuck-a-puck raffles are featured.
