• Armed robberies on Harlem, Roosevelt (forestparkreview.com) — Recent Forest Park police reports detail two armed robberies on Harlem and Roosevelt, plus incidents involving domestic battery, aggravated battery of an officer, a stolen car and a pepper-spray attack at the Blue Line terminal. Residents are reminded these are allegations only, but the reports highlight late-night safety concerns on major streets and transit areas around town.
   

• Residents request safety test, public input on new soccer field (forestparkreview.com) — Forest Park’s park district is moving ahead with plans to redo the aging Harrison Street soccer field and playground, while some residents push for more safety testing and public input. A $600,000 state OSLAD grant could jump-start construction as soon as next fall, but officials say the current turf will be inspected again this spring and is expected to remain playable in the meantime.
