100 Pretty Purses for Female Veterans was founded by U.S. Army veteran Yvette Jones-Swanson, whose own journey from homelessness to real estate broker inspired her to dedicate her life to helping others. Over the past 20 years, she has housed more than 5,000 veterans, according to a news release from the nonprofit.
“Women veterans face unique struggles, but they also possess unparalleled resilience,” Yvette said in a release. “This event isn’t just a celebration — it’s a testament to what happens when communities come together to support our heroes.”
