13-year-old Frankfort Girl Missing: Police Dog Lost Scent (UPDATE)

A 13-year-old Frankfort girl has gone missing.

UPDATE: 10:55 a.m. Monday

Frankfort Deputy Police Chief Kevin Keegan reported that the missing girl has been found. She is safe and sound.

Frankfort Police are attempting to find a missing 13-year-old girl who left home sometime before 8 a.m. today.

While neither the girl's name nor a photo has been released, she is described as being 5-foot-4-inches tall and weighing 95 pounds.  She has dark brown hair. There was no clothing description available.

Frankfort Deputy Police Chief Kevin Keegan said the girl's parents said she apparently took along a small amount of money, packed some clothes in a black backpack and left on a blue mountain bike.

She was last seen in the area of Locust and Utah streets.  A police bloodhound tracked the scent to Locust and Utah, but it was lost there, Keegan said.  The girl's parents say she has no known friends in the area of Locust and Utah streets.

The girl is a student at one of area's private schools.  It is not known if she was wearing a school uniform.

"It appears the girl is in no immediate danger," he added.
