2 Shot, 1 Stabbed In Richton Park Shooting

RICHTON PARK, IL — Two people were shot and another person was stabbed during an incident Thursday in Richton Park, according to police. All three victims were taken to a local hospital, and a suspect is in custody, police said.

The shooting happened around 7:30 a.m. Thursday, March 15, near Saratoga Road and Latonia Lane, according to police. When officers arrived, they discovered a person had been shot and another stabbed, police said.

The shooter fled the scene on foot, and officers searched the area. Local schools were locked down during the manhunt, police said.

Another shooting victim was discovered once police found the suspect, according to police. The school lockdowns were lifted, and the case is still under investigation, police said.
