In her candidate questionnaire with Patch, Petrow said voters should trust her because, "I have a proven track record of educating myself, working with our staff to further understand our village’s needs, and listening to you - the residents. I do “my homework”, come prepared to have discussions with the board, and do not shy away from bringing up resident concerns where we can have an impact."

She said the most pressing issues facing the Board including economic development, public safety, and fiscal responsibility and transparency.

Dabaco, who serves as the President of the Board for the Frankfort 157-C Education Foundation, said that as a challenger, "I would like to see more cooperation between the incumbents and the mayor who was elected to lead our Village. I would like to see the current board be a bit more methodical in the way they approach large investments or projects in Frankfort."

Some Frankfort residents were concerned about Dabaco's campaigning activities at a Frankfort 157-C Education Foundation event last month. Campaign signs were outside the nonprofit's Casino Night venue and materials were inside the event as well.

When asked about the event, Dabaco said, "Despite the hysterical ridiculousness of these accusations, which do nothing but harm an organization that helps all of our children, I have sent letters of inquiry to both the IRS and the Illinois State Board of Elections to ask their opinion on the matter. As soon as those answers are received, I will provide them to the Foundation Board Members and post them on social media. While I am absolutely certain the responses will confirm that nothing remotely contrary to any law or regulations occurred, I implore the online chatter to stop before it causes lasting damage to a fine non-for-profit organization."

Kurzawa, who works as a cosmetologist, said her campaign is focused on protecting public safety, protecting tax dollars and supporting development that meets the needs and wants of residents.

"I am a third-generation Frankfort resident and care deeply for our community. I am an honest, independent, and hard-working individual who will always work for the residents of Frankfort and do my best to facilitate a resolution to their issues," she said in her Patch candidate questionnaire, when asked why voters should trust her.

Polls will open across Will County at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, and will close at 7 p.m. Election results will remain unofficial until April 25 when the Will County Clerk's Office finishes counting vote by mail ballots and provisional ballots.
