Annual Chili Cook-Off Set For Feb. 3 In Frankfort
Local restaurants interested in showcasing their chili-making prowess must register for the competition by Jan. 22.
FRANKFORT, IL — Frankfort's annual Fire and Ice Winter Social, which includes the annual chili cook-off, returns to the downtown area on Feb. 3.
The Village invites all Lincoln-Way area restaurants to participate in its chili cook-off, and compete for the title of Best Chili, according to a release from the Village. Eventgoers will be able to taste each chili offering, and judging will be done by “people’s choice,” and prizes will be awarded to first, second, and third place winners.
The event will also offer activities for all ages, including a live ice carving demo, winter-themed entertainment, bonfires, s'mores, hot cocoa and more.

“The Village of Frankfort invites Lincoln-Way area restaurants to join in the winter fun and experience the warmth of community togetherness at the 'Fire and Ice' Winter Social,” Mayor Keith Ogle said in a release. “Frankfort is eager to turn up the heat and make this year’s Chili Cook-Off the most memorable yet. Join us for a day of delicious competition, community camaraderie, and, of course, outstanding chili!”
