Avoid Standing Water On LaGrange Road, Frankfort Police Say
The water should recede once the weather improves. But rain and thunderstorms are still in the forecast.

FRANKFORT, IL — Frankfort police are telling residents to avoid LaGrange Road, south of Laraway Road, because of standing water. Both lanes are affected by the water, which should recede once the weather improves.
Standing water collected thanks to the rain this week throughout the Chicago area. The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for Will, Cook, DuPage, Kane and other northern Illinois counties until 3 p.m. Friday, June 22.
Moderate to heavy rain could fall occasionally in the area throughout the morning, according to the agency. Thunderstorms also are expected Friday afternoon, the weather service said.
