Country Club Golf Cart Thief Captured: Cops

FRANKFORT, IL — A Frankfort man stole a golf cart from Prestwick Country Club and damaged it, police said.

Benjamin McNally, 21, was arrested Sunday morning and taken to the Will County jail.

McNally faces charges of theft and criminal damage to property. The warrant for his arrest carries a $10,000 bond.

McNally posted bond and was released after about two hours in custody, according to jail records.

McNally allegedly stole the golf cart on July 18 and damaged it sometime in the ensuing five days.

McNally was scheduled to appear in court Monday afternoon.
