Display Phones Stolen From Cellular Connection Store

PLUS: Cash and an electronic cigarette taken from 2 more vehicle break-ins.

FRANKFORT, IL — The following information is from the Frankfort Police Department unless otherwise noted. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

Burglary

Display phones were stolen during the burglary of a Bankview Drive cellphone store, according to Frankfort police. The incident happened at around 6 p.m. June 3 when someone forcibly entered the Cellular Connection, 31 Bankview Dr., police said.

An estimate of the cost of the stolen phones was not given.

Vehicle Break-Ins

Items were stolen from two vehicles parked in the lot of a Lincoln Highway lounge, according to the Will County Sheriff's Office. The break-ins happened June 5 in the parking lot of New Image, 7815 W. Lincoln Hwy.

Money and an electronic cigarette were stolen from one of the vehicles, authorities said. Money also was stolen from another vehicle in the lot.

The incident at New Image continues the rash of vehicle break-ins in Frankfort and throughout the south suburbs. Residents are reminded to lock their car doors and not to leave valuable items inside when possible, according to Frankfort police.
