FRANKFORT, IL — "Fowl play" was reported on Tuesday, after a local turkey was blocking parking spaces outside a business plaza in town, Frankfort Police shared in a post on its Facebook page.

"It just goes to show you, there is never a 'normal' day in law enforcement. Perhaps she was feeling emboldened as T-day has passed?" the department shared on Facebook.

Police Chief Leanne Chelepis told Patch that some residents were concerned about the welfare of the turkey, but officers ushered it safely back into the woods.
