Frankfort Cub Scouts Pack 270 Assembles Lasagna For Families In Need

FRANKFORT, IL – Cub Scouts from Pack 270 of Frankfort rolled up their sleeves for a heartwarming community service project, assembling 10 family-sized lasagnas for Lasagna Love, a nonprofit organization dedicated to feeding families in need through acts of kindness, the pack shared with Patch.

The scouts carefully assembled each lasagna, and took pride in knowing their efforts would bring comfort and nourishment to families in their community, according to a news release.

"This project embodies what Cub Scouts is all about, building character while serving others,"
said Chris Mullooly, Cubmaster. "Our scouts were excited to work together on something that
makes a real difference in people's lives."

The project was made possible through a generous donation of ingredients by the scouts and
their families. Additionally, Aurelio's Pizza of Frankfort donated meat to ensure the lasagnas
would be as nourishing and delicious as possible, the pack said.

Lasagna Love connects volunteers who make homemade meals with neighbors experiencing
hardship, food insecurity, or simply needing a helping hand. The organization has delivered
millions of meals nationwide since its founding.

The completed lasagnas will be distributed to local families through Lasagna Love's network of
volunteers and recipients.

Cub Scouts Pack 270 serves youth in Frankfort from grades first through fifth.
