Frankfort Implements Everbridge Communication System For Residents

Everbridge will serve as a tool for disseminating timely updates on village-wide emergencies, road closures and severe weather events.

FRANKFORT, IL — The Village of Frankfort, and the Frankfort Police Department, have announced they will implement the Everbridge community system to enhance connection between local authorities and residents.

The Village previously used a communication system called Nixle.

According to the Village, Everbridge will serve as a tool for disseminating timely updates on village-wide emergencies, road closures and severe weather events.

Existing Nixle users will be transitioned to the new system, the Village said. However, to access the enhanced features and receive location-specific notifications, users must sign up and create an account in the new system. Failure to do so will result in receiving only village-wide notifications.
