Frankfort Park District Cancels All Programs For Wednesday

A winter storm has also caused school classes to be canceled or learning to be done remotely.

FRANKFORT, IL — The Frankfort Park District canceled all of it programs Wednesday as snow continues to blanket the area.

Frankfort schools also either canceled classes or were using remote learning Wednesday.

Frankfort has already seen 10 inches of snow between Tuesday night and Wednesday afternoon, with a winter storm warning still in effect until 6 p.m. Wednesday.

The Village of Frankfort is also reminding residents that street parking is banned until Village crews are able to complete the snow removal process. In a Facebook post, the Village wrote it expects roads will not be fully cleared until Thursday.

The Village also canceled an open house Wednesday at the Village of Frankfort Utility Department.
