Frankfort Park District Keeps Mask Requirement For Programs

Masks will still be required for preschool programs and indoor activities, the Park District announced Monday.

FRANKFORT, IL — The Frankfort Park District is keeping its mask requirement for preschool participants, as well as for all indoor activities participants and guests. The Frankfort Park District made the announcement Monday on its website.

The Park District explained that it was continuing to follow an Illinois mandate that requires masks been worn indoors by everyone over the age of 2, regardless of vaccination status.

"The Frankfort Park District understands the frustration around the mask wearing and that many of us have Covid fatigue," reads the announcement, signed by Frankfort Park District Executive Director Gina Hassett. "The Park District will continue to enforce the State mandate for indoor mask wearing.

"... We look forward to the time when we can return to being indoors without masks. We ask for your patience as we continue to monitor the situation and work with our risk management team on any future changes to our mitigation plan."
