FRANKFORT, IL — The Frankfort Police Department has announced the addition of its newest officer, a K-9 named Pax. Pax is currently undergoing specialized training to join the force, according to a release from the Village.
Pax will then enhance law enforcement efforts, assist in investigations, and further the department’s commitment to public safety, the Village said.
Pax is a Labrador Retriever, and is currently in an intensive training program focused on tracking and narcotics detection. Upon completion, the K-9 and its handler, Officer Krupa, will serve as an asset in locating missing people, detecting illegal substances and attending community events, according to a release.
