Frankfort Storm Clean-Up: Hundreds Still Without Power
The Village also notified residents that Sauk Trail is closed from 80th Avenue to 88th Avenue due to downed wires.

FRANKFORT, IL — After several possible tornadoes in the Chicago area on Monday night, storm clean-up is underway in Frankfort.
The Village said that crews have been out since Monday night and continue to clean up storm damage.
" Village crews are concentrating on clearing roadways and addressing hazards on public property," the Village said. "Unfortunately, Village of Frankfort crews cannot remove trees from private property unless it is a life safety hazard."

Branch pick-up has been suspended temporarily while clean-up continues.
Frankfort Police said there are multiple reports of downed trees and other debris.

The Village also notified residents that Sauk Trail is closed from 80th Avenue to 88th Avenue due to downed wires. Drivers should avoid the area, and use extra caution while driving in town.
According to the ComEd outage map, 369 customers in Frankfort are without power, as well as 96 customers in Frankfort Square, and 377 customers in Frankfort Township, as of 6 p.m. on Tuesday.
Frankfort Park District shared on its Facebook that the splash park will also be closed on Tuesday due to the power outages.
