Frankfort's Fire And Ice Winter Social Set For Feb. 1

The event includes the fourth annual chili cook-off.

FRANKFORT, IL — The Village of Frankfort will once again host the annual Fire and Ice Winter Social, as well as the fourth annual chili cook-off, on Feb. 1 in downtown Frankfort.

Lincoln-Way area restaurants can register to battle it out and make their signature chili creations, according to the Village. Attendees will vote for the favorites in a people's choice format, with prizes awarded to the top three.

“Frankfort’s ‘Fire and Ice’ Winter Social is a celebration of community, creativity, and connection,” said Mayor Keith Ogle in a news release. “We’re inviting local restaurants to bring their A-game, warm our hearts, and help us make this year’s Chili Cook-Off the best one yet!”
