New Breakfast Restaurant Opening In Frankfort
The restaurant also has a New Lenox location.
FRANKFORT, IL — A new restaurant will be opening in Frankfort, in the former location of Lumes Pancake House.
At its Monday meeting, the Frankfort Village Board approved a special use permit for a full-service restaurant with liquor sales for Waffles Kafe, at 20594 S. La Grange Road.
Waffles Kafe also has a location in New Lenox.

According to plan commission minutes, the owners of Lumes Pancake House retired. Waffles Kafe owners Peter and Billy Les told the plan commission "they are excited a location in Frankfort is now an option and are looking forward to coming to the area."
The restaurant will be open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily. No exact opening date was given, but the business is currently hiring.

Waffles Kafe menu items include waffles, skillets, breakfast sandwiches, wraps, burgers, sandwiches, Billy's Power Meals, and salads.
