New Micro-Event Space Approved By Frankfort Board

The new micro-event space would host private events and specialty workshops.

FRANKFORT, IL — At its Monday meeting, the Frankfort Village Board approved a special use permit for a new boutique micro-event venue in downtown Frankfort.

Trustee Maura Rigoni said the business, Blank Space, will be located at 114 Kansas St., Unit B.

"The building provides two commercial tenant spaces," Rigoni said. The building is currently home to The Candle Vault in Unit A.

The Candle Vault owner Alexandra Masterson is proposing to operate a "similar, yet separate business," in the rear unit, according to Board documents. The rear unit is 767 square feet, and would host private events and specialty workshops.

According to Board documents, the rear unit used to be a chiropractic office, but is currently used as storage for The Candle Vault.
