Paczki Day: Where To Order The Pastries At The Last Minute

Haven't ordered paczkis for Tuesday? It's still not too late if you know where to go.

For many places, the order deadlines have come and gone for Paczki Day, which is Tuesday, Feb. 13 (Fat Tuesday? What's Fat Tuesday?). But you still might be able to pick up a few of the Polish pastries without the need to beg co-workers for theirs.

The bakeries at Walt's Food Centers, which has locations in Frankfort and Tinley Park, is still taking paczki orders Monday, Feb. 12. But the cut off is 11 a.m. at Tinley Park and noon at Frankfort. After that, there's no guarantee you'll be able to pick up pastries Tuesday.

Call 815-469-2111 for the location at 20825 S. LaGrange Road in Frankfort or 708-532-5550 for the 16039 S. Harlem Ave. store in Tinley Park.
