Save The Dates For Spring Events At Frankfort Park District

First up will be the 26th annual spring craft show, set for 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on March 1.

FRANKFORT, IL — It may not seem like it with snow on the ground and frigid temperatures outside, but spring is truly not far away.

The Frankfort Park District already has several events planned for this spring, so residents can start looking forward to warmer days.

First up will be the 26th annual spring craft show, set for 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on March 1. It is free admission at the Founders Community Center, 140 Oak St.

Later that month, on March 23, Spring on the Green will be held from noon to 2 p.m. on Breidert Green. The all-ages, free event will feature DJ music, games, a balloon artist and more.

To kick off April, the park district will hold its annual family fun fly, from 11 a.m. to noon on April 1 at Main Park. The free event is a statewide kite fly, so you can bring your own kite or borrow one from the park district.

Also planned in April are:

  • Donuts with the Bunny, multiple times on April 12 at Founders Community Center. Register by April 4; $10 per resident child. Photos with the Bunny, crafts, holiday games, donuts and an egg hunt.
  • Super Dog Egg Hunt, 1:30 p.m. on April 12 at Bark Park at Commissioners Park. Free, featuring dog-friendly vendors.
  • Bunny Home Visit, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on April 18. All ages, $35 for an outdoor home visit with the Bunny and gift for one child. $10 for each additional child. Open to Frankfort Park District residents only.
  • Celebrating Earth Day, 12 to 2 p.m. on April 26. Free, at Main Park. Games, activities, crafts, giveaways.
