Sections Of Old Plank Road Trail, Hickory Creek Bikeway Closed In Frankfort Township
The work is scheduled to be completed in mid-January.
FRANKFORT, IL — Sections of both the Old Plank Road Trail and the Hickory Creek Bikeway are closed due to an Exxon Mobil pipeline project in Frankfort Township, according to the Forest Preserve District of Will County.
The work is scheduled to be completed in mid-January, but weather and other factors could affect this timeline.
The project involves the removal of pipeline casing by a contractor for Exxon Mobil, according to the preserve. The work is taking place within the Exxon Mobil right-of-way — crossing Old Plank Road Trail, transecting Hickory Creek Preserve and crossing the Hickory Creek Bikeway before terminating just south of Route 30.
