2 Frankfort Residents Killed In Peotone Township Crash: Coroner

FRANKFORT, IL — Two people who were killed in a crash on Thursday in Peotone Township have been identified as Richard Wayt, 77, and Kathleen Wayt, 63, both of Frankfort, the Will County Coroner's Office said in a news release.

The crash happened Thursday morning on US 45, north of West Adams Street, the coroner's office said.

According to Illinois State Police, the crash involved a garbage truck and two passenger vehicles. Four people were also taken to area hospitals for treatment, police said.

Details on the crash have not been released, and Illinois State Police continues to investigate.
