Weekend Fun: Carnival, Concerts, Outdoor Movies and More

There's lots do this weekend in the Lincoln-Way Communities.

It's the weekend, and we all deserve a chance to blow off some steam. In the Lincoln-Way communities we have a festival and carnival, concerts, farmers markets and outdoor movies.

New Lenox:

It's Proud American Days. The New Lenox Community Park District is sponsoring the annual event. This year it's being held at the Walmart parking lot, 601 E. Lincoln-Highway. Of course, there will be carnival rides for the kiddies, co-ed sand volleyball at Lions Den Park, 520 S. Cedar Road, a craft vendor show and a beef cook-off by the New Lenox Fire Protection District.

The entertainment tent is open all day, but the bands start playing at night Friday-Sunday.
