What's Summer Without a Beach Party in Frankfort?

Here are five things to know about in Frankfort this Week.

Frankfort has its own brand of activities that make it unique. Check out the five events that you should know about this week.

1. The Village Board on Monday is expected to appoint a new trustee to serve out the term of Kevin Egan, who resigned to move to Minnesota.  

2. Tommy Nevin's Pub, 96780 Lincolnway Lane, on Tuesday has $2 Drafts and $2 for select appetizers. Sit back and watch your favorite games on the big screen TVs.

3. It's a Senior Picnic "Beach Party" beginning at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday at Founders Community Center, 140 Oak St. There'll be beach party bingo and plenty of food. It's time to turn on the classic beach party songs performed in the 1960s by Frankie Avalon and Annette Funacello. 

4. Cruisin' Frankfort begins at 4 p.m. each Thursday during the summer months at Oak and Kansas Streets. Bring your babe and your classic car to show off in downtown Frankfort.

5. Try those microbrews and Frankfort's classic German brews at the Frankfort Community Park District's Beer Tasting event from 7-9 p.m. at Founders Community Center, 140 Oak St.
