Winter Snowstorm: More Than Foot Of Snow Hits Frankfort
The village can expect slightly more snow into the weekend, as well.

FRANKFORT, IL — More than a foot of snow fell in Frankfort on Friday as the first major snowstorm of the winter swept through northern Illinois Friday. According to the National Weather Service, 12.8 inches of snow hit the village, causing schools in Frankfort and throughout the area to clos.
Snow will continue this weekend, as more snow is forecast for Saturday and Sunday. According to the NWS, accumulation of 1 to 2 inches is possible Saturday night. Snow should stop before noon on Sunday.
