Geneva Fire Department Rappelling Training Planned At Parking Deck

The parking deck will remain open to commuters and downtown drivers as normal during the training.

GENEVA, IL — Geneva firefighters are planning several rappelling training exercises in September, officials said.

The first training took place at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 3. The next will happen at 9 a.m. Sept. 10, and the final one will planned for 1:30 p.m. Sept. 17.

The training will occur at the Third Street Commuter Parking Deck in the downtown area. Each session will last several hours, according to an alert.
