Geneva PD To Raise Funds For Special Olympics With Cop On A Rooftop

Customers who donate will receive a free doughnut, and those who give more than $10 will get a travel mug and a coupon for free coffee.

GENEVA, IL — Geneva police will participate in Cop on a Rooftop at Geneva's Dunkin' on May 17 to raise money for Special Olympics Illinois.

Officers will be stationed at the coffee shop at 206 E. State St. from 5 a.m. to noon May 17 to collect donations for the Law Enforcement Torch Run’s 21st annual event.

All customers who donate to the cause will receive a coupon for a free doughnut. Those who donate at least $10 will receive a travel mug, while supplies last, and a coupon for a free medium hot or iced coffee.

Mugs, shirts, hats, pins and Harley Davidson raffle tickets will also be sold during Cop on a Rooftop.

The event is one of several fundraisers for the Law Enforcement Torch Run, a collaborative effort by police departments across the country to raise money for Special Olympics.
