The City of Geneva has launched the “Go Geneva” mobile app to give residents and visitors instant access to key community information and services from the convenience of their smartphone. The free app is available to download from both the App and Google Play stores by searching “Go Geneva.”

The Geneva Park District has been recognized as an Illinois Distinguished Accredited Agency by the Illinois Association of Park Districts (IAPD) and the Illinois Park and Recreation Association (IPRA). The two statewide associations administer the Illinois Distinguished Accreditation program with the goal of improving the delivery of park and recreation services to Illinois residents, according to a news release.

The Wilson Brothers – March 4

Living Stations of the Cross (Cast Call) – March 5

St. Peter’s Catholic Church, 1891 Kaneville Rd., Geneva needs men, women and children of all ages for our annual re-enactment of the Stations of the Cross. Patient Education Workshop – March 15

The Patient Education Workshop is a monthly event that is provided to current patients at Whole Human Health, 426 S. Third St., Geneva and the surrounding community where we talk about chiropractic, snoring and jaw pain, and nutrition. Sharing the Rough – March 20

State Street Jewelers, 230 W. State St., Geneva is proud to present Filmmaker Orin Mazzoni taking us behind the scenes into the world of colored gemstones and the fascinating paths they travel. "Sharing the Rough" documents the never before captured process of the journey of a colored gemstone from mine to market. From discovery by East Aftrican miners, to being shaped by master gem-cutter Roger Dery, the film follows the love and passion of everyone involved. Shown at the Arcada Theatre at 7:30 pm. Tickets are $10 which includes one beverage, with the proceeds going to the Devon Foundation which is the Charity that helps provide the schools and equipment for the East African People. Pitch + Catch – March 21

Pitch + Catch offers 25N members an opportunity to present their business plan, new idea, or sales pitch to an audience of mentors, advisors, entrepreneurs, and you! Pitchers prepare a five minute presentation and engage in 20 minutes of feedback and questioning. 25N members gain insight into possible ways they can improve their businesses and gather real time feedback. Inside the Music with Andrew Grams Brahms’ Symphony No. 4 – March 31

Inside the Music with Andrew Grams performed by Elgin Symphony Orchestra (ESO) are lively, 90 minute in-depth explorations of masterworks using visuals and musical excerpts to explain the history and form of the piece. After intermission, the ESO will perform the entire work with participants having gained newfound insight into what makes the piece so special.
