The mother of the St. Charles Township man accused of running a large-scale marijuana grow operation in his Mallard Lake Road house has bailed out the accused after securing a $15,000 loan.

Bail was set at $150,000 for David Robbins, 44, who faces multiple felony drug counts. Court records show that Robbins’ mother got the loan the week of Thanksgiving, reports Tribune Media.

In November, police found 463 live marijuana plants and more 6,000 grams of packaged marijuana in his house at 38W0501 Mallard Lake Road.

Robbins’ father in the past has sought orders of protection against him to prevent him from seeing his grandfather, now deceased. The father accused Robbins of dosing the cancer-ridden grandfather with cannabis oil. He also accused Robbins of texting him death threats.

Court papers indicate Robbins is residing now in Downers Grove with his mom.
