GENEVA, IL — New stop signs have been installed at the East Side Drive and Division Street intersection as a way to enhance traffic safety in the area, officials said.

The intersection was converted into a four-way stop on Aug. 6 after Geneva and St. Charles conducted a joint traffic study and determined the change would help reduce the number of crashes experienced in the area over the last five years, according to a news release.

The stop signs are also identified with warning flags. City officials urge drivers to use caution when approaching the intersection while everyone adapts to the new signage.
