GLEN ELLYN, IL — Visitors to Panfish Park can now take an interactive tour to identify and learn more about the trees throughout the park. The new feature comes after the park added more than 30 new trees.

The first 13 trees were donated by Morton Arboretum. Then, a $10,000 grant from DuPage Foundation was tapped for the addition of 19 more trees.

The remainder of the grant money helped the park district create a geographic information system (GIS) map of the trees to facilitate self-guided tours. The trees have QR codes that visitors may scan to pull up more information.
