Donald B. Mackay, 72, passed away while surrounded by his family on Dec. 30, 2010. He went peacefully. Mackay was a long-time attorney and formerly served as a United States Attorney for the Southern District of Illinois. He was also a long-time federal prosecutor for the United States Department of Justice, and a legal advisor for the United States Department of Homeland Security.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4-9 p.m. at Williams-Kampp Funeral Home, 430 E. Roosevelt Rd., Wheaton. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at St. James the Apostle Church, 480 S. Park Blvd., Glen Ellyn. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to St. Ignatius College Prep., 1076 W. Roosevelt Rd., Chicago, IL 60607.
