Back To School: Glen Ellyn School District 41 2025-26 Calendar

GLEN ELLYN, IL — There are just a few short weeks of summer left until students head back to school. Back-to-school planning has already begun at Glen Ellyn School District 41, with calendars available to help parents prepare their children for a smooth transition into the 2025-2026 school year.

The first day of school is set for Aug. 27 for District 41 students in grades 1 through 8.

Here's a look at some dates to know for the upcoming school year:

Aug. 27: First day of school for students in grades 1 through 8

Sept. 1: Labor Day; no school

Sept 2: First day of school for kindergarten students

Sept. 4: First day of school for Pre-K and EC students

Sept 26: Institute Day; no school

Oct. 13: Indigenous Peoples Day; no school

Oct. 17: Institute Day; no school

Nov. 24-Nov. 28: Fall Break

Dec. 22 - Jan. 2: Winter Break

Jan. 19: Martin Luther King Jr. Day; no school

Feb. 16: Presidents' Day; no school

Feb. 27: County Institute Day; no school for students

March 30-April 3: Spring Break

May 8: Institute Day; no school

May 25: Memorial Day; no school

June 8: Last day of school

June 9-June 15: Emergency Days
