Back To School: Glenbard District 87 Calendar For 2025-26

GLEN ELLYN, IL — There are just a few short weeks of summer left until students head back to school. Back-to-school planning has already begun at Glenbard District 87, with calendars available to help parents prepare their children for a smooth transition into the 2025-2026 school year.

The first day of school is set for Aug. 14 for District 87 students in first through 12th grades.

Here's a look at some dates to know for the upcoming school year:

Aug. 14: First day of school

Sept. 1: Labor Day; no school

Oct. 13: Indigenous People's Day; no school

Oct. 22-Oct. 23: Evening parent-teacher conferences

Oct. 24: Non-attendance day; no school

Nov. 26-Nov. 28: Thanksgiving Break

Dec. 22 - Jan. 2: Winter Break

Jan. 6: No School; Teacher's Institute

Jan. 19: Martin Luther King Jr. Day; no school

Feb. 16: Presidents' Day; no school

Feb. 27: Teacher Institute; no school for students

March 30-April 3: Spring Break

April 6: Non-attendance day; no school

May 22: Last Day of School

Graduation: TBA

May 26-May 29: Emergency Days
