Chamber Welcomes New Businesses

Ribbon cuttings were recently held to welcome a few news businesses to Glen Ellyn.

The Glen Ellyn Chamber of Commerce welcomed a few new members recently when it held two ribbon cutting ceremonies earlier this month.

The chamber welcomed The School of Rock and TMCSquared Learning Center into its membership.

A ribbon cutting was held on June 7 to celebrate the opening of The School of Rock. The music school opened its Glen Ellyn location in May and celebrated with a rocking grand opening celebration on May 4.

The School of Rock provides children with real-life experience playing and performing, incorporating rock-n-roll music into the students’ musical education. The school’s core enrollment are students from 7 to 17.

On June 5, the chamber held a ribbon cutting for TMCSquared Learning Center. The center offers workshops and classes for those wanting to learn more about computer applications, such as Word or Excel; parental controls or social media tools such as Facebook or LinkedIn.

Owners, Thom and Sue Martin both have extensive technology experience and experience in web development, desktop help and system architecture, according to the website.
