Over $20K Donated To 3 Local Organizations Via Glen Ellyn Fund Initiative
The initiative is part of a partnership with the Village of Glen Ellyn and DuPage Foundation to support community enrichment projects.
GLEN ELLYN, IL — Three local organizations were awarded a total over over $20,000 from DuPage Foundation this fall as part of the Glen Ellyn Fund Initiative (GEFI). The grants awarded this cycle will help support projects and improvements for B.R. Ryall YMCA, Glen Ellyn-Wheaton Chorale and Go Green Glen Ellyn.
The Glen Ellyn-Wheaton Chorale was awarded a grant of $1,800. The funds will help the chorale hold rehearsals within the Glen Ellyn Park District, per an update from GEFI.
A total of $9,000 was awarded to Go Green Glen Ellyn. The funds will aid the nonprofit in its mission of sustainability by helping by recyclable cups for its upcoming events in 2026.

B.R. Ryall YMCA was awarded $10,000 to put in a new roof at the space's pavilion. The pavilion is used for community events, summer camps, sports and other activities.
Founded in 2017, the Glen Ellyn Fund aims to support projects that improve the life of residents in the village. These include arts and culture programming, environmental sustainability efforts and social support programs, among others.
