Civic Center Parking Garage: Precast Concrete Construction Begins

The parking garage project is still on track for completion in the spring of 2021.

With the Civic Center Parking Garage construction project well underway, the precast concrete construction materials will begin to be delivered to the site this week.

The delivery and erection of the precast components is expected to take approximately 20 days, spanning Wednesday, November 11 through Wednesday, December 9. Construction activity will generally occur Monday through Friday, during the hours of 7 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Motorists and pedestrians should note the following:

  • Precast deliveries will be timed to prevent truck staging on Duane Street.
  • Flaggers will be provided in front of the Civic Center to control traffic as trucks will need to back the pieces into the site. Advanced warning signs of flaggers will be provided.
  • The local route to the site for the trucks will be Roosevelt Road to Northbound Lorraine Road to Eastbound Duane Street.
  • The local route leaving the site for the trucks will be Eastbound Duane Street to Southbound Park Boulevard to Roosevelt Road.
