College of DuPage has started the 2025–2026 academic year with strong momentum, reporting a total headcount enrollment increase of 6.8% compared to Fall 2024.

The College’s full-time equivalent (FTE) enrollment also rose by 3.1% over last year. These gains continue COD’s steady post-pandemic growth.

“These increases show a confidence in College of DuPage and its ability to provide high-quality education to our community,” said COD President Dr. Muddassir Siddiqi. “By creating a culture of care, the College delivers an academic experience that helps students achieve their goals—whether entering the workforce directly or continuing their studies at a four-year university.”

The College also recorded substantial growth in its Dual Credit program, with a 17.5% increase in dual credit FTEs this fall. Earlier this year, the Illinois Community College Board identified COD as having the highest dual credit enrollment in the state for the second consecutive year.

“It is important for College of DuPage to continue expanding access to higher education through a variety of programming,” Dr. Siddiqi said. “Even with these increases, we must continue finding ways to meet the evolving educational needs of our constituents and ensure our programs remain relevant to students’ educational and career goals.”
