College of DuPage Hosts Facilities Master Plan Community Open Forum Nov. 4

College of DuPage invites community members to a Facilities Master Plan Community Open Forum from 5 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 4, in the Student Services Center Atrium on the Glen Ellyn campus, 425 Fawell Blvd. Hosted by SmithGroup, the session will outline the planning process, timeline and opportunities for community input, including an interactive activity.

Updated every five years as required by the Illinois Community College Board, COD’s Facilities Master Plan guides future development to ensure campus spaces support student and community needs.

Over the next nine months, SmithGroup will work with COD leadership and the Board of Trustees to develop the new plan. With extensive higher education experience, the firm will help evaluate current facilities and plan future needs in infrastructure, land use and sustainability.

The final plan, expected in June 2026, will provide data-driven recommendations for facility improvements and sustainable practices that align with future trends in energy, technology and design.
