Comprehensive Plan Commission Conducts First Public Hearing

A recording of the Dec. 10 Plan Commission public hearing is available to view online.

The Glen Ellyn Plan Commission reviewed approximately the first half of the draft Comprehensive Plan (pages 1-43) at a public hearing on December 10, 2020, held via Zoom. The Village’s consultants, Houseal Lavigne Associates, covered a range of topics including residential area policies, commercial area policies, housing diversity, potential development sites, building heights in the downtown and parking ratios for new development.

A recording of the Plan Commission public hearing is available to view here. The next public hearing on the second half of the draft Comprehensive Plan will be held via Zoom on January 7, 2021. Zoom links to participate in the second public hearing will be posted on the Comprehensive Plan website in advance of the meeting and will also be included in the meeting agenda posted on the Village’s website by no later than Wednesday, December 30, 2020. Topics to be covered at the second public hearing include transportation, community facilities, parks and open space and plan implementation.

A copy of the most up-to-date draft of the Comprehensive Plan can be found on the website. Residents and businesses have the opportunity to provide comments and feedback directly on the website or by emailing Village Planning Manager, Kelly Purvis.
