Crosswalk Work To Cause Detours In Downtown Glen Ellyn

GLEN ELLYN, IL — Detours will be in effect in downtown Glen Ellyn as crews work to repair brick crosswalks. The detours, which started Monday, are expected to last through Nov. 14.

One-way traffic will be in effect along Duane Street eastbound from Glenwood Avenue to the Civic Center parking garage. Two-way traffic will resume between the parking garage and Forest Avenue and between Glenwood and Prospect Avenues on Duane.

Commuters will also encounter a road closure along Main Street from Hillside Avenue to Crescent Boulevard.

The crosswalk work is part of the remainder of the first phase of Glen Ellyn's ongoing streetscape project. Phase two is set to begin in 2023.
