DuPage Convalescent Center Invites Public to 'Adopt-a-Resident'
The Adopt-a-Resident gift drive allows residents to request and receive holiday gifts of their choice.

The DuPage Convalescent Center invites the community to help make the holidays brighter for the residents.
The “Adopt-a-Resident” gift drive allows residents to request and receive holiday gifts of their choice. Gift requests average approximately $50 in value and include items such as personal care products, gift cards and clothing. Donations for the Adopt-a-Resident program must be dropped off by Friday, Dec. 9, so they may be prepared for distribution at the Annual Family Holiday Party.

Donations are also being accepted for the general wish list. These much needed items are distributed to residents in need. Individuals and families are encouraged to volunteer for a large variety of Holiday Event including concerts, socials and religious services. Volunteer opportunities are available on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s. The general wish list and volunteer opportunities are available on the DuPage Convalescent Center website.
Community groups are also invited to visit the Center to sing Holiday Carols to the residents. This annual tradition is enjoyed by the residents and provides a festive atmosphere. A variety of days and times are available for Holiday Caroling.

Community groups are welcome to donate handmade cards or crafts to the residents. Craft items may be seasonal items or items that may be enjoyed throughout the year.
Financial donations to the Holiday fund are appreciated. These donations help offset the cost of Holiday decorations and special activities for the residents. Donations may be dropped off at the reception desk between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. daily.

Monetary donations may be made online or via check payable to the DuPage Convalescent Center Foundation and mailed to 400 N. County Farm Rd., Wheaton, IL.
