Glen Ellyn Chamber of Commerce Extends Deadline

Turn in your nomination for business, non-profit, volunteer or senior of the year to the Glen Ellyn Chamber of Commerce by 3 p.m. today.

Despite the fact that nominations officially closed on Thursday, Glen Ellyn Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Mike Formento said if a resident wants to nominate a business, non-profit, volunteer or senior of the year, they can do so until 3 p.m. on Friday.
“Right now, my best guess is that we have at least four nominations for business of the year,” he said.
Since 2009, the village has been honoring the business of the year. There really is no average number of nominees.
It’s kind of hard to judge that,” he said. “Sometimes, in the past, we have had 8 or 10 and sometimes we get 3 or 4.
“We always get at least 3.”
The Chamber of Commerce will accept nominations via email or by phone. For more information, call 630-469-0907.
Winners will be announced and awarded at a breakfast at 7:30 a.m., March 7 at the Crowne Plaza of Glen Ellyn 1250 Roosevelt Rd. Tickets are $25 each.
