Glen Ellyn Closes On $2.85M Hotel Properties On Roosevelt Road
The village is considering redeveloping the sites with multifamily or affordable homes, retail and dining spaces or mixed-use developments.

GLEN ELLYN, IL — The village of Glen Ellyn closed Tuesday on two Roosevelt Road Corridor hotel sites it plans to redevelop in the hopes of spurring reinvestment along the corridor.
The $2.85 million purchase was made with the aim of redeveloping the sites into multifamily or affordable housing, retail and restaurant sites or mixed-use developments in an effort to "breathe new life" into the business corridor, Village President Mark Senak said in a news release.
“Encouraging reinvestment in these sites has been a goal of the Village Board for many years,” Senak said. “We are excited about the opportunity to bring new development to this area," he said, adding that he hopes the redevelopment will "serve as a catalyst for further reinvestment along the corridor.”
