Glen Ellyn Offering Incentives For New, Expanding Businesses

GLEN ELLYN, IL — The village of Glen Ellyn recently announced that it will offer incentives for new and expanding businesses in the village. The financial incentives can be used for changes that include facade improvements, interior improvements and fire safety improvements.

Each award is available based on a sliding scale matching up to $15,000.

The facade improvements award is available to commercial properties in the commercial districts for facade enhancements or to restore a facade to its original architectural design.

The fire safety improvements award is available to commercial properties in the downtown commercial district and Roosevelt Road TIF district. The incentive can be used to install or improve sprinkler systems and fire alarm systems.

The interior improvements award is available to new or expanding businesses in the village's downtown commercial district. The incentive can be used for interior improvements that are permanent and are not cosmetic.
