Glenbard South Principal To Become District 87 Superintendent
Jessica Santee will start her new role as superintendent in July, replacing David Larson as he heads into retirement.

GLEN ELLYN, IL — Glenbard South High School Principal Jessica Santee has been chosen as the next superintendent of Glenbard Township High Schools District 87.
Santee has served as principal of Glenbard South for the past three years, after serving as assistant principal for two years.
Currently pursuing her doctorate degree in educational administration leadership, Santee earned a master’s degree in secondary education at University of Cincinnati and a master’s degree of educational leadership, principal preparation program from North Central College.

She also holds a bachelor's degree in political science from Ohio State University.
Prior to coming to District 87, Santee worked at Lisle and York Community High Schools. Her accolades include being named principal of the year in DuPage County by the Illinois Principals Association and being named a Japan Fulbright Memorial Scholar.

This is a transformative time for Glenbard, marked by the largest facility improvement projects in our district’s history and significant advancements in dual credit opportunities and career exploration programs. I am excited to continue collaborating with our greater Glenbard community and am deeply grateful for the opportunity to serve as your superintendent.”
Santee will replace David Larson, who is set to retire this school year. Her appointment will start July 1, 2025.
